If Anastasia and I were doing this remodel we’d be lucky to have the cabinets removed by now, assuming we’d taken the last two weeks off from work. Instead, the base cabinet boxes are already 98% installed and the upper cabinets will probably be going in tomorrow.

The Hog Loppet
This past Saturday Erik, Carey, Alisa, Rich (Alisa’s husband) and I all skied the Hog Loppet, a 30k “race” from Mission Ridge outside Wenatchee to Haney Meadows at Blewett Pass. It was a bluebird day with temps in the 40s.

Emergency Ski Surgery
Well, I suppose it was hardly an emergency, but I thought I’d document the project I did for Silas when he blew his ski edges out on an early season powder day. Too many rocks, not enough snow.
On Puppies
On April 11th, Anastasia and I made the 600 mile round-trip to Republic, in eastern Washington, to add a fluffy little fuzzball to the Pantengliopolis zoo. She’s settled in well and has been, so far, a remarkably easy puppy.
